While most of the money needed to build and operate a proposed racetrack and casino in Tucumcari will come from private investors, Quay County taxpayers have not been forgotten.
Thursday will be a big day for Tucumcari. That’s when the New Mexico Racing Commission comes to town for a 5:30 p.m. meeting at the Tucumcari Convention Center, where it will hear investors’ proposal for a racetrack and casino.
