Clovis student teacher earns state honor

Wayland Baptist University Dean Gary Mitchell reports a Wayland student has been named “Student Teacher of the Year” by the state. Mitchell said Jimmy Marez, a student teacher at Clovis’ Sandia Elementary School, will be honored Saturday at the Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell campus.
