Students at Clovis’ Zia Elementary school are returning to class after a fire alarm sounded about 10:20 a.m. today.
Freedom New Mexico Clovis police Capt. Patrick Whitney said the Clovis police department was evacuated for two hours this morning. A construction crew struck a gas line while working on plumbing in the building next door to the department. There were no injuries. The building was evacuated from about 9:30 to 11:30 am., Whitney said.
