Press Release: ENMU holiday closing

Eastern New Mexico University in Portales will be closed for the Thanksgiving Break from Wednesday, Nov. 25, through Sunday, Nov. 29.

Texico railroad crossing closed

This week U.S. 70/84 in Texico will be closed for repairs to a railroad crossing. The New Mexico Transportation Department and BNSF are expecting to work on the crossing from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through Friday, according to a press release. Traffic will be detoured to Texas State Route 292.

Road work scheduled

CNJ staff The Curry County Road Department has scheduled road repair Tuesday on Buffalo Road from Curry Road 11 to Coyote Road, according to a press release. The work will be done from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The road may be closed during phases of the work, the release said.
