Plains Regional Medical Center is dedicating a new Plains Regional Outpatient Surgery center Wednesday, according to a press release.

The outpatient surgery center includes a section for surgery and one for physician’s offices.

The release said physicians housed in the center expect to begin seeing patients by summer.

Six physicians representing four specialties will occupy the physician offices.

The physicians are general surgeons Dr. Victor Davis, Dr. Frederick Hammill, and Dr. Manoel Rodamilans, Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jacob George, Urologist Dr. Edward Pienkos, and Podiatrist Dr. Richard Stamm.

Administrator Hoyt Skabelund said the center includes operating and procedure rooms equipped for general surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology and podiatry.

The center also has lab and x-ray services and medical offices are available for general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry and urology patient appointments.
