Florida man accused of battery arrested in Clovis

On Wednesday, November 04, 2009, Investigators with the Curry County Sheriff’s Office arrested Herbert Clinton Miller, 41, who was a fugitive from justice from the State of Florida.
The Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force contacted the Curry County Sheriff’s Office and advised Miller was possibly working and residing in Clovis. Miller was wanted in the State of Florida for Lewd or Lascivious Battery, a second degree felony.
Sheriff’s Investigators located Miller at a residence in the 1100 block of Hinkle, where he was apprehended.
Miller has been incarcerated at the Curry County Detention Center, pending extradition back to Florida.
