Samplings of recent reports filed by Clovis-area law enforcement officers:

About 4 a.m. Dec. 4 an officer responded to a home in the 100 block of Hinkle Street for a man with a knife.

A woman said her boyfriend had gone crazy and threatened everyone in the house because he said American women have no respect for men from Mexico.

She said he grabbed her by the hair and held the knife to her chest.

The man, whom officers noted was intoxicated, was arrested for battery on a household member, aggravated assault and kidnapping.

About 9 a.m. Dec. 4 an officer responded to a business in the 3900 block of Prince Street for a battery report.

A woman said she had been beaten the night before by a male she barely knew.

The woman said she was at a friend’s house and the man began beating her, kicking her in the head and choking her. She said he told her if she called the police, he would kill her. Officers documented multiple injuries to the woman, including bruising, a chipped tooth, a shoe print on her chest and more.

Around 1 p.m. Dec. 4 an officer responded to a school in the 1400 block of Cameo Street for a fight.

School officials said two girls had gotten in a fight in the hallway after lunch.

The girls told the officer they have been friends for a long time but got in a fight over things that were said.

The girls were given citations for public affray.

Around 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4 an officer responded to a school in the 100 block of Commerce Way for a vehicle crash.

A man told the officer he was driving through the parking lot and hit a light pole. He said the light was not working and it was dark, so he didn’t see the pole.

The officer noted the light was working properly. The vehicle received moderate damage.
