Police Blotter
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:
Around midnight June 30 officers were called to a home in the 400 block of West Plaza Drive for a report that a man was urinating on a woman.
Inside the home, police found a woman visibly upset with red marks on her face and neck. The officers noted an intoxicated man yelling at them to leave. Witnesses told officers they saw the woman in the driveway and the man yelling to the driver of a truck to run her over. The woman refused to cooperate with police. Police arrested her husband for battery on a household member.

About 2:30 p.m. July 1 an officer responded to a report of theft in a home in the 2900 block of Kelso Avenue.
A man told officers he discovered a water hose running from his house to a home across the alley. The officer noted the hose was running through an upstairs bathroom window and had a spray nozzle attached to it, and the house did not have an active water meter.
A woman at the other house said she knew nothing about it.
The officer told the man how to file a complaint with municipal court.

Around 8 p.m. July 1 an officer responded to a report of theft at a residence in the 1300 block of East 10th Street.
A man told the officer a male rode into his yard on a woman’s bike, took his weed eater off the porch and rode off.

About 4 p.m. July 2 an officer responded to a report of an intoxicated man passed out in an alley behind the 600 block of East 21st Street.
The man was so intoxicated he did not respond when the officer attempted to rouse him. An ambulance was called and the man was taken to the hospital and then to the jail for detoxification.

Around 8 p.m. July 2 an officer responded to a business in the 3000 block of North Prince Street for a report of shoplifting.
Management had a man and woman in custody for trying to steal around $72 worth of merchandise. The officer learned there was a warrant for the man and placed him under arrest. The woman was issued a citation for shoplifting and released.
