Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

About 4:30 p.m. Thursday an officer was called to a bank in the 100 block of South Main Street for a report of a couple performing a sexual act while at the drive-through window to cash a check.

The teller said she was offended.

The officer checked surveillance video and was unable to see the incident on the footage.

The incident is under investigation.

Around 6 p.m. Thursday an officer responded to an apartment in the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard for a report of a 16-year-old girl whose mother had kicked her and her child out of the house. The woman told the officer the apartment manager said she would be evicted if her daughter didn’t leave. She said she was afraid she would lose her home so she told the girl to move out. The officer told the woman she could be arrested for child abandonment and could not make her daughter leave. The case was referred to social services.

About 8 a.m. Friday an officer responded to a home in the 1900 block of Wilshire for a report of extortion.

A couple told the officer they had received an e-mail telling them they had been targeted for assassination but could save their lives by sending $30,000 to an account.

They did not know the sender.

The officer forwarded the case to a detective for investigation.
