For the military
The Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce is hosting an orientation for military families.
It starts 11 a.m. Saturday at the Memorial Building, 200 E. 7th St.
Speakers will tell you about recreational opportunities at ENMU and in the city, organizations you might want to join, and the ins and outs of the city.
Free hot dogs, hamburgers and child care.
There will be a test
Today is a mock test day for Standards Based Assessments in several Clovis schools across the district.
It’s a practice run leading up to the all important real state testing, which starts March 28.
Arts & Crafts
The spring arts and crafts fair starts Saturday at the Clovis Civic Center.
Free admission.
Times are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Cheap books
The annual Scholastic Book Fair starts Monday and continues through Friday at ENMU’s Education Building.
Sponsor group VOICES bills it as an "incredible selection of popular children's books, cookbooks, games, posters, adult books, novelty items, and more."
Times: 8 a.m. - 7p.m.
Spend more than $20, you get entered in a contest to win $25 worth of books at the end of the fair.
