The 51st annual Carol of Lights starts at 6:30 tonight.
About 30 minutes later, an outdoor ceremony at Memorial Circle — complete with the glow of 25,000 red, white and orange lights — will be witnessed by approximately 20,000 people.
And maybe you.

The 39th annual New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau held meetings in Tucumcari over three days.
About 1,000 farmers and ranchers were on hand.
W.R. McAlister of Portales headed the farm bureau.
Featured speakers included Gov. John Burroughs, also of Portales.
Topics of discussion included imports of foreign livestock and meat, wheat surpluses and water rights.
