Police Blotter

Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:


About 5 p.m. Sept. 26 an officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of Torreon for an auto burglary report.
Two men said they saw a male they didn’t recognize get into their neighbor’s car.
One man said he confronted the suspect to detain him for police and the man said, “Please don’t touch me,” and started walking away quickly.
Another neighbor provided police with security camera footage of the suspect.
The woman said $100 was missing from her purse.

About 8 p.m. Sept. 26 a sheriff’s deputy responded to the adult detention center for a battery report.
Detention officers said an inmate got angry and spit in the face of a detention officer because he wanted a different food tray.
The case is being reviewed for charges.

About 11 p.m. Sept. 26 an officer responded to a home in the 100 block of Yale Street for a battery.
A woman said she had just returned home and heard a noise in her house. She said she stepped out of her bedroom and was confronted by two females, who demanded to know “Where is he?”
She said they punched her and looked through her house, then left. As she locked her door, she said a brick came through her front window.

About midnight Sept. 27 an officer responded to a business in the 3000 block of Mabry Drive for a battery report.
A woman said she was sitting in the establishment with a friend when a woman she didn’t know came up and started cursing at her. She said the woman hit her in the head with a beer bottle.
The female suspect told the officer, “I did it, I am the guilty one.”
She was arrested for aggravated battery.

About 1 p.m. Sept. 27 an officer responded to a business in the 2000 block of Prince Street for an indecent exposure report.
A female employee said she was leaving the bathroom and there was a male standing there holding his genitalia.
She said he looked surprised when he saw her, said “sorry,” fastened his pants and walked out of the store.
