Meeting covers wind energy land leases

A meeting discussing the opportunities and pitfalls of leasing land for wind energy facilities and the benefits of joining a landowners association is set for 6 p.m until 9 p.m. Monday in the Roosevelt County Community Development Corporation board room, 100 S. Ave. A.

An expert will speak at 6 p.m. and time for questions and one-on-one discussions is scheduled afterward, according to information from the development corporation.

Johnna Bruhn of the Coalition of Renewable Energy Landowners in Grady and Rory McMinn of Tri-Global Energy are expected to attend.

Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.
