Clovis man dies after fall from cherry picker

Comments 0

A 54-year-old Clovis man was killed late last month when he fell from a cherry picker.

William Armijo died after being transported from the 200 block of Reid Street to the emergency room at Plains Regional Medical Center around 2 p.m. Jan 26, according to a police report.

Armijo’s father Zenovio Armijo told police his son did not engage stabilizing arms and did not wear a safety harness when he got into the bucket of the machine.

When Armijo raised the bucket too high, his father told police it tipped over and Armijo fell, the report said.

No information was available on what Armijo was doing in the cherry picker.
