Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

About 10 p.m. Nov. 20 an officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of Tucker Avenue for a report of breaking and entering.

The resident said her home had been broken into and several things had been damaged.

She said she found two chairs positioned by the door and that her former boyfriend told her he would always leave the chairs like that so she would know he had been there.

She said he had broken into her home several times before.

The officer documented damage in the home including broken items and holes in the walls.

A check revealed the woman’s former boyfriend was already incarcerated, so the officer got a list of his associates from the woman.

She said her 64-year-old mother was still in the house, locked in her bedroom.

Officers found the mother and escorted her from the house, then located the resident’s husband asleep in a bedroom, lying on top of a loaded gun and arrested him.

Officers documented injuries to the woman’s mother’s nose and scratches on her face.

The woman, who said she relied on a walker for mobility, said the 38-year-old man had come into the bathroom while she was using it and had grabbed and twisted her nose until she could hear the bones and cartilage cracking.
