This is a report of Tuesday’s Civil Aviation board meeting.

• Clovis Municpal Airport Manager Steve Summers said the airport is getting ready to start rehabilitation of its main runway.

He said the start date of the project will be scheduled after a meeting next week with the project contractor and the city’s engineering consultant.

The $4.6 million project will take between six to eight weeks to complete and will involve resurfacing 5,400 feet of the runway, which is about 35 years old, Summers said. The project will be funded with federal, state and city funds.

• Civil Aviation Board members approved the airport’s five-year plan, which includes enhancements to the parking lot, sewage system and access roads. The plan will go to the State Department of Transportation Aviation Division and the Federal Aviation Administration who prioritizes and funds airport improvement projects.
