Samplings of recent reports filed by Clovis-area law enforcement officers:

About 4 p.m. Nov. 25 an officer responded to a department store in the 3000 block of Prince for a shoplifting report.

Store employees said they found a used pregnancy test in the bathroom after a 17-year-old girl was observed going into the bathroom with it.

The girl said she used the test because she was scared her mother would be upset. She said she had the money to pay for it but was scared.

The girl was given a citation for shoplifting and turned over to her mother’s custody.

Around 11 p.m. Nov. 25 an officer responded to a home in the 1900 block of Miller Street for a report of criminal damage.

A man said his holiday lawn ornaments had been broken. The officer documented two broken reindeer and a damaged plastic Mrs. Santa Claus.

The items were valued at around $120.

Around 1:30 p.m. Nov. 26 an officer responded to a store in the 100 block of 14th Street for a shoplifting report.

A manager said he saw a man leaving the store with a large lump under his jacket. The man said when he checked the surveillance footage the man could be seen tucking a block of cheddar cheese under his jacket.

About 9 a.m. Nov. 27 an officer responded to a school in the 1400 block of Cameo for a report of drug paraphernalia.

A school official said a male student was brought to the office because teachers thought he smelled of marijuana.

The officer noted the smell of marijuana and asked the 15-year-old if he had any drugs on his person.

The youth turned over a pipe with marijuana residue in it.

He was given a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and suspended for five days.

About 11 p.m. Nov. 27 a officers responded to a home in the 1200 block of Grand to remove a person from a porch.

A woman told officers there was a man passed out on her porch she didn’t know.

Officers arrested the man for indecent exposure.
