Caleb Roehrig, 6, shovels snow off of his family's trampoline in his backyard on Lew Wallace Drive. Roehrig said he had to shovel it because he and his friends wanted to jump on it later.

Snow dusts Clovis area

The first day of spring brought snow to Clovis.

National Weather Service meteorologist David Craft said between one and three inches fell on the Clovis area.

Craft said Saturday will continue to be cold with highs in the mid 30s with brisk winds. He said the winds will decrease in magnitude as the day fades into the evening.

Craft said another storm will hit the area late Wednesday and early Thursday, but warmer temperatures will most likely prevent precipitation to fall as snow and the area will receive rain.
