Press release: Predator mishap at Cannon Air Force Base

CANNON AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. – At approximately 8:15 a.m. this morning, an MQ-1B Predator unmanned aerial vehicle assigned to Cannon’s 3rd Special Operations Squadron taxied off the runway through a perimeter fence coming to rest in an adjacent field.

There were no injuries; only inert training munitions were on board and pose no hazard. First responders are on scene and have established a cordon to assist in the recovery of the aircraft. More information will be made available as it becomes known.
