PRMC administrator adds Tucumcari duties

Hoyt Skabelund has been named the new hospital administrator for Dr. Dan. C. Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari, in addition to his continuing role as administrator of Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, according to a Presbyterian Healthcare Services press release.

Skabelund will take over the Dan C. Trigg administrator role from Matt Posinski, who recently resigned to take a position in Missouri.

Skabelund formerly served in the Dan C. Trigg Hospital, administrator role from 2001 to 2004. He has served as administrator of PRMC since 2006, the release stated.

Robert Garcia, vice president of regional operations for Presbyterian, said in the release, “We’re excited about broadening Hoyt’s role to manage hospital operations in Clovis and Tucumcari together. More and more, meeting the healthcare needs of Tucumcari has led us to expand services from Clovis to create linkages in services by which both communities can benefit.”

Dan C. Trigg and PRMC will continue to have separate governance boards, the release said.

Plains Regional Medical Center is a 106-bed hospital operated by Presbyterian Healthcare Services.
