New or revised contracts that would move forward a $300,000 renovation of the jail kitchen are some of the items on the agenda Tuesday for Curry County Commissioners.
They meet at 9 a.m. at the Clovis Carver Library's north annex.
Two items on the consent agenda include a contract to use the VFW Post 3015 kitchen to prepare jail meals during construction and a renewal and modification of contracts with CBM, the outside contractor that prepares jail meals.
The county is proposing paying the VFW $250 a day for use of their kitchen during the estimated six weeks of construction at the jail kitchen. CBM has agreed to the six weeks shift, proving one hot meal and two cold meals per day.
The jail serves an estimate 250 meals three times a day.
Items on the action agenda:
• A request to approve extending County Manager Lance Pyle's contract though Oct.. 31, 2016.
• A request to amend the county personnel policy.
