Circulation Director

Circulation Director versed in sales and marketing experience needed to grow print, online, mobile and tablet readership for two small dailies and two weeklies on the High Plains of eastern New Mexico.

Clovis Media, Inc. seeks a go-getter who will oversee the Circulation revenue and expense budgets, which also includes the Mailroom. This position oversees home delivery, single copy, sales, retention, customer service, NIE and fulfillment functions for our newspapers and niche products.

Your job will be to lead our multi-platform circulation growth through customer satisfaction, carrier retention and continual promotional activities. As a working manager, you must be versed in Vision Data, Microsoft Excel and Word programs, and oversee our VAC auditing procedures.

The ideal candidate will have related sales and marketing experience, 5 years circulation experience and a college degree, or significant fulfillment experience but no degree. This person also must keep up on current local events, and develop and conduct monthly contests and promotions to grow our paid customer base using print, digital and social media tools to expand our audience. You and your combined staff of 11 people will work closely with our management team to help us exceed all revenue and audience goals.

Accounting Clerk

The business office of Clovis Media, Inc. is looking for an accounting clerk who has basic accounting skills and will be responsible for:

• Local AP processing
• Posting of accruals, pre-paid expenses & other journal entries to the general ledger at month-end
• Review of accounts
• Report generation
• Maintain contracts from various sources
• Balance local cash drawers
• Consolidate data from all entities and post cash daily

The right person will have excellent customer service skills, be able to work under pressure, be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word. Problem solving, analytical ability, good written and verbal skills are required.

An Associates degree in Accounting is preferred; however, three years of experience may be substituted for degree. As a member of our business staff, you will be required to pass a background screening.

Start your career with Clovis Media Inc.  We are seeking the right individual to be part of our press crew.  As such you will help assemble, plate and print our commercial and core products.

Computer competency and mechanical aptitude required.  Must be 18 years or older with valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, ability to lift 50 lbs. and pass a drug screening test.
