Abernathy-Simmons
E.G. and Judy Abernathy of Clovis announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Misty Abernathy of Clovis to George Simmons, of Amarillo, son of the late Delano and Dolores Simmons.
The couple will exchange vows July 4, 2009 at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas.
A reception will follow.
The bride elect is a 1992 graduate of Clovis High School.
She is employed at Plains Regional Medical Center as a pharmacist.
The prospective groom is a 1994 graduate of Mohave High School.
He is employed at Amarillo Country Club as the assistant golf professional.

Gene and Sherry Christian of Farwell, Texas announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kyra Ellen Christian of Abilene, Texas to Evan Owen, of Abilene, Texas.
He is the son of Jerry and Ginger Owen of Abilene, Texas.
The couple will exchange vows at 7:30 (CST) June 13, 2009, at Erinshire Gardens and Events Center in Abilene, Texas.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Farwell High School and will be graduating May 9, 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Sciences from Hardin-Simmons University.
The prospective groom is 2004 graduate of Abilene Wylie High School and graduated in 2006 from South Plains College Fire Academy.
He is employed at Brownwood Fire Department as a fireman/EMT.
The ceremony and reception are open to friends and relatives.
