Thursday morning briefing: Think pink, clunkers, fall musicals
Good morning. Welcome to Freedom New Mexico’s Thursday morning briefing.
Think pink
University of New Mexico Lobos football players will wear pink ribbons on their helmets when they host Colorado State University on Nov. 21.
The idea is to promote breast-cancer awareness.
A news release from the UNM Cancer Center reports hundreds of breast-cancer survivors and their families plan to attend the game, dressed in pink.
Something to do:
Fifth- and sixth-graders at Lockwood and Sandia elementary schools are scheduled to perform their fall musical programs at 6:30 tonight at their schools in Clovis. Admission is free.

The government’s $3 billion Cash for Clunkers program mostly replaced old Ford or Chevrolet pickups with new ones that got only marginally better gas mileage, according to The Associated Press. Was it still a good idea?
