Last time out: Both teams lost at home on Saturday, the Lady Mustangs to Colorado School of Mines 79-70 and the Zias to Tarleton State 89-64.

Last meeting: Nov. 22, 2005, ENMU defeated WNMU 87-52 at Greyhound Arena. The Zias are 3-2 against WNMU since the 1995-96 season and have won the last three matchups.

Of note: The game was originally scheduled for Nov. 25, but was postponed due to inclement weather. … Each team has one game left after tonight, both on Saturday. The Zias, who are trying to end a 10-game losing streak, host Lone Star Conference-leading West Texas A&M while the Lady Mustangs visit Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference rival New Mexico Highlands. … WNMU is 2-10 this season on the road. … Western, which hasn’t had a winning record since 1996-97, went a combined 1-49 in the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. Coach Rusty Kennedy took over last year and the Lady Mustangs finished 5-21, ending losing streaks of 35 games overall, 40 games in the RMAC, 38 games on the road and 33 RMAC games on the road. They’ve hit a rough patch of late, losing three in a row and six of their last seven. … WNMU defeated LSC member Angelo State 59-52 at home on Dec. 4, its first non-league win over a Division II opponent since 2008-09. … Leaders for the Lady Mustangs, all juniors, are 5-foot-5 G RaTanya Newsome (13.4 ppg, 125 assists, 49 steals), 5-10 G Ashley Mitchell (12.6 ppg, 39 percent 3-point FGs) and 6-1 junior F/C Stephanie Moore (11.1 ppg, 51 percent FGs). … One thing both teams have done well this year is shoot FTs — WNMU is at 74 percent for the season while the Zias come in at 72 percent.
