The holiday season is coming to a close, and Clovis residents looking to dispose of live Christmas trees are being asked to use the city’s landfill to do so.
“You can bring it to the city of Clovis landfill and we’ll put it in our brush pile,” said Public Works Director Clint Bunch of live Christmas trees. “We do accept those free of charge.”
For those residents who are unable to make the trek to the landfill, Bunch said trees can be placed in empty trash receptacles, or next to trash receptacles. If a tree is being left next to a trash receptacles, Bunch recommends calling the Public Works Department to let them know.
For the city’s polycart users, trees will be picked up curbside on Wednesdays following New Year’s Day. Bunch said those users should also call the department to let them know there is a tree that needs to be picked up.
