Severin Niessen made three saves for a shutout, and Eastern New Mexico University capitalized on defensive miscues to take a 3-0 victory Monday at University of the Southwest in Hobbs.

The win moves the winning streak to four games and the undefeated streak to five for Greyhounds (6-3-1), who also got head coach Harold Munoz his 50th victory with the school. He is 50-38-13 at ENMU.

Eastern struck early in the second half, as Eishu Kanemitsu jammed in a loose ball following a failed clearing attempt by the Mustangs in the 49th minute.

About 20 minutes later, Abayneh Crosby netted an insurance goal when his shot deflected off of a Mustangs defender and into the net.

Ryan McManus also scored for ENMU, a shot to the right side in the 83rd minute.

University of the Southwest managed 11 shots on the day, with just three on goal against Niessen.

The Greyhounds return home Thursday to face Lubbock Christian University at 1 p.m. at the ENMU soccer pitch.
