Realtor confirms lot purchase

Realtor Brett Johnson confirmed that a company has purchased the lot at 200 East Brady Avenue where the Hacienda home improvement store used to be.

Johnson said he could not disclose the name of the company or what they will be manufacturing, citing confidentiality.

The store has been closed since May.

Leadership program selects resident

Leadership New Mexico has selected Brandy Chavez of Cannon Air Force Base to a part of the 2013-2014 Connect New Mexico Program, according to an LNM release.

Chavez who works as an Installation Community Planner for the Department of Defense, is one of 29 individuals who will enter the program to deepen their leadership skills and knowledge of the challenges that face New Mexico, according to the release.

Ashley holding ribbon cutting

Ashley Furniture will be holding a ribbon cutting event at 4 p.m. on Friday, according to the Clovis-Curry County Chamber of Commerce website.

Ashley Furniture is located at 2500 Prince Street.
