The Clovis City Commission met Monday at the North Annex of the Clovis-Carver Public Library.
Commissioner Dan Stoddard was not in attendance. Items mentioned below passed on 7-0 votes.
• The commission approved a land transfer of 15 acres of land along Brady Street, adjacent to the city landfill, to Curry County for building a new detention center outside of downtown Clovis.
The transfer involves no money changing hands, and is contingent on voters approving the Aug. 6 bond renewals.
• The commission approved the final budget to be sent to the state before the end of July.
The budget works with $22.8 million in expenditures, up slightly from last year’s $22.5 million in expenditures.
• An amendment to a standstill and disposition agreement made with the failed Beauty Health and Science Innovations cosmetics company was withdrawn from the agenda prior to the meeting.
• The next meeting is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. Thursday at the North Annex of the Clovis-Carver Public Library.
