A 38-year-old Portales woman was listed in critical condition Monday, according to a spokesman at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
Casey Turnbough was injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on N.M. 209 north of Ned Houk Park, according to Undersheriff Wesley Waller. He was life-flighted to UMC.
Waller said the crash occurred about 3:30 when Turnbough, who was driving a Hyundai passenger vehicle, exited a driveway at 2155 NM 209 and collided with a northbound Ford Explorer driven by Suzy Powell, 64, of Grady.
Turnbough’s daughter was also in the Hyundai at the time of the accident. Two of Powell’s grandchildren were passengers in the Ford Explorer, Waller said.
Powell, her grandchildren, and Turnbough’s daughter were treated at Plains Regional Medical Center and released, Waller said.
He said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
