A Clovis woman was arrested Tuesday on charges connected to trafficking cocaine.
Sharon Kirven, 36, of Clovis, has been charged with trafficking cocaine, tampering with evidence, criminal solicitation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to a release from the Curry County Sheriff's Office:
- Investigators were monitoring Kirven's telephone activity while she was incarcerated at the Curry County Adult Detention Center on previous charges. Calls monitored took place between Kirven and a family member, where Kirven indicated drugs were located in her car and gave instructions on hiding them elsewhere.
- Investigators intercepted the vehicle, driven by the family member, while it was en route to the hiding place.
- A search resulted in four ounces of crack cocaine, packaged in 20 individual baggies, with an estimated street value of $12,500.
- Kirven remains in the CCADC on the additional charges, and is being held on a $70,000 bond.
