Clovis Christian seniors set for next step

Saturday will mark the beginning of a new adventure for 14 seniors graduating from Clovis Christian School.

"I'm going to be attending ENMU in the fall," said Jasmine Bieker, who plans to major in business administration for her bachelor's degree.

Bieker was named Best of Class 2013 for the school and received a full ride to ENMU through the Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship.

Of the students graduating, 13 will be headed off to college and one will be traveling on a religious mission.

"We have people going places from UNM to Texas Tech to Eastern to CCC," said Chad Patton, advancement and support services director for the school.

"Overall, I'm pretty excited for what the future will hold," Bieker said. "I don't really fear it, I'm more excited for it to get here."

Throughout her high school career, Bieker was a member of the National Honor Society, National Beta Club and Science Club. She was also the manager of the school's volleyball team.

Luckily for her, the things she learned in school go far beyond academics.

"Just be yourself and do your own thing without letting other people pressure you or influence what you do," she said. "You shouldn't let other people control your future."
