Police blotter – Oct. 2

Here is a sampling of police, sheriff and fire calls for:


8:28 a.m.: Caller reported windows busted on the old golf course maintenance shop, 1000 block of North Sycamore Street.

12:21 p.m.: Caller advised she retrieved an unattended toddler who was running in the street in front of traffic and would wait for an officer to respond, 1600 block of Arcineiga Drive.

4:07 p.m.: Caller reported a male pulled a female by the neck and shoved her into a house, 1200 block of North Thornton Street.

6:24 p.m.: Caller reported several children on a school roof throwing things, 2900 block of Cesar Chavez Drive.

7:01 p.m.: Several callers reported a pole behind a business was sparking and on fire, 3600 block of North Prince Street.


4:23 a.m.: Caller reported a pole near the roundabout on fire, near Llano Estacado Boulevard and Norris Street.

7:47 a.m.: Caller reported a puppy was whining from the sewer under a manhole cover, 900 block of Hinkle Street.

3 p.m.: Caller reported male subjects sitting in a vehicle "shooting up," 600 block of Ross Street.

7:40 p.m.: Caller reported several times recently she has returned home to find things missing from her home and requested an officer, 1200 block of East Grand Avenue.


12:05 a.m.: Caller reported a structure fire and smoke coming from the roof, 1300 block of West Street.

2:02 p.m.: Caller requested assistance getting a male, who first fell from a horse followed by the horse falling on him, out of a vehicle, 2100 North MLK Boulevard.

6:58 p.m.: Caller advised she saw a fox on her roof jump down and crawl into a space under the roof, 200 block of Sunland Drive.

8:34 p.m.: Caller reported a reckless driver swerving into oncoming traffic and had already hit a mailbox, near Curry Road 16 and Curry Road K.
