Police blotter – Sept. 30

Here is a sampling of police, sheriff and fire calls for:

Thursday

12:03 a.m.: Caller reported a strong gas odor at his friend's house with no one responding to repeated knocks on the door, 700 block of Rencher Street.

6:53 a.m.: Caller reported someone with marijuana and paraphernalia, 1400 block of Cameo Street.

10:14 a.m.: Caller reported theft of a battery and radiator out of a dump truck, 1400 block of West Seventh Street.

11:29 a.m.: Caller reported his granddaughter, in his office, was battered by her husband but would likely not be filing a report herself, 600 block of Rencher Street.

11:45 a.m.: Caller requested assistance for possible counterfeit bills received at the business, 1200 block of West Seventh Street.

2:26 p.m.: Caller advised a basketball pole was in the middle of the street, 900 block of North Prince Street.

2:31 p.m.: Caller reported a water heater exploded, causing a small fire, but were able to put it out with a fire extinguisher, 2200 block of West Llano Estacado Boulevard.

3:17 p.m.: Caller reported finding a gun in his back yard, 300 block of East Brady Street.

4:29 p.m.: Caller advised a miniature pony was running loose in the ditch near the hospital, 2100 block of North MLK Boulevard.

6:03 p.m.: Caller advised an aggressive dog was loose in the area, 1000 block of North Sycamore Street.

6:23 p.m.: Caller reported a male panhandling in the parking lot, 600 block of Pile Street.

7:46 p.m.: Caller advised she saw four juveniles go through the fence into zoo property, 1800 block of East 14th Street.

9:17 p.m.: Caller reported a male was pulling a female into a house by the hair and the female was screaming for help, near Manana Boulevard and Thornton Street.

10:04 p.m.: Caller reported her daughter had been receiving threatening text messages from a male she knows, 700 block of West 20th Street.
