The Clovis Community College Board of Trustees approved the following at its meeting Wednesday:
- Art committee appointment:
Regina Dart, a fine art major at CCC, to a one-year term as student representative of the committee.
- Labor management relations board:
Connie Connelly was reappointed on May l, 2012 for another one-year term and is serving as chair. Mark Carpenter serves as the college's representative. Rick Switzer with BNSF Railroad serves as the labor representative. They each agreed to serve another one-year term.
- Nursing enhancement request:
A $31,700 appropriation funded by the New Mexico State Legislature through the New Mexico Higher Education Department. For the past eight years CCC has received an appropriation in varying amounts for this request.
- Professional services contract for general legal counsel:
A contract with Greig and Richards for year four of a 4-year renewable contract.
- Approval of donation for fixed asset:
Removal of The Rock (climbing simulator) from the official college inventory. The Rock was purchased in 1998 for $13,550. The item has a book value of $271 and an estimated resale value of under $5,000. It was recommended The Rock be donated to Eastern New Mexico University.
- Employee compensation recommendation:
All full-time employees will get a one-time non-recurring compensation adjustment of $1,500 to be paid on Nov. 30.
- Naming of the Allied Health Simulation Lab:
The lab is named the Kathryn Burns Skarda, R.N., Simulation Clinic after the college recently received a $311,000 donation from Lynell Skarda to assist the college in equipping the facility at the Joe and Charlyne Sisler Allied Health Building.
