The Clovis City Commission will meet 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the North Annex of the Clovis-Carver Public Library.
Agenda items include:
- A request to approve a preliminary budget for 2012-13, due to the Department of Finance and Administration by Friday.
The budget to be submitted to the commission is for $39.73 million, down about 6 percent from the 2011-12 preliminary budget of $42.22 million.
The estimated ending cash for the city's general fund is $2.01 million. The state requires a minimum of one-12th of the general fund expenditures as reserves — about $1.85 million, in Clovis' case.
The budget includes no salary increases.
The final budget will be submitted to the commission for approval in late July.
- Request to approve a farm lease at the Clovis Municipal Airport.
When the city began construction of the runway extension project at the airport, modifications were made to a pair of existing farm lease agreements.
One of the tenants, Donnie Wall, died recently, and his widow, Nara Wall, has indicated a desire to continue with the lease.
