There’s a St. Patrick’s Day auction and craft bazaar from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Wheatfields Senior Living Community, 4701 N. Prince St.

It’s open to the public and proceeds benefit Relay for Life.

Don’t forget, Tuesday is filing day for anyone seeking county or state office.

Filing can be completed at your county clerk’s office.

There is a $50 fee.

Kitchen tip

Burned on food solution: For casserole dishes and other pans, try leaving a dryer sheet in the pan to soak overnight in water. When you wake up in the morning the food will be loosened.

On this day in 2005, after a three-month-long criminal trial in Los Angeles Superior Court, a jury acquits Robert Blake, star of the 1970s television detective show Baretta, of the murder of his 44-year-old wife, Bonny Lee Bakley.
