Last time out: The Greyhounds came up short against ninth-ranked Tarleton State on Wednesday, losing to the Texans 55-52 at Greyhound Arena. A&M-C had a three-game winning streak snapped with a 77-72 loss at West Texas A&M, also on Wednesday.
Last season: The Lions thumped ENMU 94-67 at Commerce.
Of note: Commerce is 1-2 at home. Meantime, ENMU is 4-1 both at home and on neutral courts, but just 1-3 on the road. … The Hounds have lost four of six after a seven-game winning streak. … The Lions’ top scorer is 6-foot-7 senior F Desmond King (15.3 ppg), who is also shooting 58 percent from the field and leads the team in rebounding (5.7 rpg). Others scoring in double figures are 5-11 senior G Brad Hambrick (13.4) and 6-4 junior F Preston Whitley (10.0), who has done all his damage off the bench.

Last time out: The Zias dropped a 78-70 decision to Tarleton State on Wednesday at Greyhound Arena despite a school record-tying 40 points by senior G Kiara Tate. The Lions absorbed their seventh consecutive loss, a 110-37 drubbing at West Texas A&M.
Last season: A&M-C edged ENMU 64-63 at Commerce.
Of note: Commerce’s only double-figure scorer is 5-8 sophomore G Danielle Dixon (14.7), who ranks sixth in the LSC. She’s paced the team in scoring eight times and tied for the lead once. … ENMU senior F Precious Herrin continues to lead the league comfortably in scoring (18.9 ppg), nearly three points ahead of West Texas A&M’s Devin Griffin (16.1). … The Lions are 10th in the LSC in scoring (57.5), ahead of only Angelo State. The Zias, who were last at one point, have moved up to eighth with 277 points in their last three games (92.7). … Commerce, which is 1-4 at home, shoots only 54 percent as a team from the FT line. … The game matches two of the LSC’s bottom three teams in 3-point shooting, both under 25 percent.
