Christopher Bryant has announced that he will seek re-election as for his seat in District 4 of the Clovis City Commission.

Bryant, 61, owns and operates the Foxy Drive-In. He has served on the water advisory council and the 400 Mitchell St. Project, a project geared toward seeking funding for an emergency operations building and administration building for the city of Clovis.

Bryant currently has one challenger. Richard L. “Rube” Render, a retired project manager with Lockheed Martin and a retired gunnery sergeant with the United States Marine Corps, has also announced he will run.

The filing date is January 10.

The March 6 election includes the mayor’s race, four commission races, and a ballot question to change the city charter to bar dual service on the Clovis City and Curry County commissions.
