Thursday morning briefing: A truck pull, bright lights and free trade

Good morning and welcome to the Freedom New Mexico Thursday briefing.

Muscle time

Southwest Cheese is hosting a Moo-ve It truck pull fundraiser 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at the Curry County Events Center.

Teams of 15 members each test their strength by attempting to pull a truck.

All proceeds benefit United Way of Eastern New Mexico

Parade time

Mark your calendar for the Christmas Jubilee and Lighted Parade 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Portales.

The parade starts at the city Rec Center and follows 18th to Avenue D and Second Street to the courthouse square.
