A Clovis man was shot in the leg by his roommate Monday night after an argument between the two escalated, according to Clovis police.

Guy Schilling, 50, was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center and later transferred to a Lubbock hospital, according to an email from Clovis Police Chief Steve Sanders.

Sanders said Tuesday afternoon no charges have been filed in the case.

Schilling suffered a single gunshot wound.

According to the incident report:

• The roommate told police Schilling approached him in a threatening manner in the residence they shared at 214 W. Ninth St. The roommate said he grabbed his gun and repeatedly told Schilling to get back before shooting him once in the leg.

• Schilling told police the two were arguing about the house being dirty and Schilling was trying to apologize when the shooting occurred.
