Hounds win fifth straight

SANTA ROSA — Stefan Mirabal and Devone Davis led a balanced attack with 19 points each and the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhounds beat New Mexico Highlands 104-98 Wednesday for their fifth straight win.

Curtis Wilkinson added 15 points for the Hounds (5-1), who shot a 58 percent from the field while scoring more than 100 points for the second time this season.

Marcus Williams scored a game-high 21 points for Highlands (1-2) while Billy Austin added 20.

It was the first meeting between the two state Division schools since the 2008-09 season.

The game was a late addition to the schedule, with the teams agreeing to meet on a neutral court.

ENMU leads the all-time series 65-30.
