Mrs. Maxcine Reeves celebrated her 90th birthday at the home of her son, Lewis Reeves, on July 30.
Present were over 60 people , friends, family and three generations of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Maxcine had seen on TV a quilt painted on a barn. Being an avid quilter, she wanted a quilt painted on a old barn at her son’s house. Not knowing what to give her mother, her daughter Joyce Ward repaired broken boards, cut down trees and painted a patch-work quilt on the side of the barn.
All of the family gathered in front of the quilt for the birthday picture. There was lots of good food enjoyed on the cool lawn at her son’s home with Maxcine getting lots of love and attention, which she surely deserves.
