ENMU receiving part of $5 million grant

Eastern New Mexico University is one of eight New Mexico colleges receiving part of $5 million in grant money to increase enrollment and graduation rates in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

According to a release from U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M., ENMU will receive $615,226 from the U.S. Department of Education.

Other schools receiving funding include Mesalands Community College, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, New Mexico Highlands University, New Mexico State University-Alamogordo and University of New Mexico campuses in Albuquerque, Taos and Valencia.
