The agent for Clovis native Hank Baskett said times are uncertain, but the wide receiver is ready to go.
Baskett, an unrestricted free agent, has 77 catches for 1,098 yards and six touchdowns in five seasons with Philadelphia, Indianapolis and, most recently, Minnesota.
The NFL lockout compressed the free agent period, leading to a flurry of transactions. So far, none have involved the 2001 Clovis High graduate.
“Everything changes too fast,” said Jim Ivler, who has been Baskett’s only agent since he graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2006. “Something’s attractive one day. A change in circumstances, and it’s not a great situation the next.”
Baskett played six games last year with the Vikings, with one reception for 18 yards. He also played on special teams.
Attempts to reach Baskett were unsuccessful.
