The Southeast New Mexico Grant Program for 2011 is accepting grant proposals, according to a news release.

The deadline is July 30.

Proposals will be accepted from counties, municipalities, public schools and 501c(3) non-profit organizations in Chavez, Curry, Eddy, Lea, Lincoln, Otero and Roosevelt counties.

Proposals should explain how each project can improve the quality of life in a specific area, the release said. Requests for general operation, personnel costs or requests from individuals for personal grants do not qualify.

The program, called the R.D. and Joan Dale Hubbard Foundation of Ruidoso, has awarded over $1.5 million since its creation in 2000.

Organizations that qualify may contact the Hubbard Foundation for an application or information at P.O. Box 2498, Ruidoso, New Mexico 88355 or 575-258-5919 or info@hubbardfoundation.com
