Janet Pray is going to share some of her trade secrets, including how to hold the fabric while sewing and how to sew curves, and talk about the importance of proper chair and table height. Pray’s company is Islander Sewing Systems in Highland, Mich.
Author Kivi Bernhard will talk about the hunt for profit in a tough global economy. His book is titled “Leopardology,” and he will explain the six pillars of positive predatory thinking as he compares critical business thinking with the hunt for the African leopard. Bernard lives in Atlanta, Ga.
Information on making homemade tile, organic sugar and candy treats will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at noon Tuesday and 2 p.m. Saturday.
Author Kristen Peck will demonstrate making homemade tile, and then shows various uses for it in the home. She’s from Virginia Beach, Va.
Natural sugar expert Pauline McKee will talk about what organic sugar is and demonstrate using it in some popular recipes, including brownies. The company is Wholesome Sweeteners Inc. in Sugarland, Texas.
