Pipes burst, closing food barn
The food barn at the Curry County fairgrounds will be closed for about two weeks after frozen pipes burst, causing more than $15,000 in damage.
County Maintenance Superintendent Lee Delk said damage in the building, which is not used on a daily basis, was discovered Wednesday and is believed to have occurred the weekend before.
An insurance claim for the cost of damages was submitted Friday, he said.
