New airline service starting in May

Clovis is getting a new airline service to Albuquerque starting May 1.

New Mexico Airlines will offer three daily nonstop flights, according to a press release issued late Saturday.

Flights will depart Albuquerque for Clovis every day at 8 a.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Duration of all flights is about one hour.

The press release said the airline will offer a one-way Internet ticket for $300.

Airline President Gabriel Kimbrell Carlos Arias has been named as New Mexico Airlines’ director at large for Clovis, Portales and Cannon Air Force Base. Arias will manage local community business and government relationships, and serve as the area liaison to Kimbrell.
