What:
Lone Star Conference South crossover game.

Last outing: ENMU lost to Cameron 71-69 in overtime at Greyhound Arena on Dec. 4. The Lions, who played West Texas A&M at home on Saturday night lost the same day at Abilene Christian 88-86.
Of note: Commerce took last year’s meeting 75-58 at Portales. … Lions leaders coming into Saturday’s game against WT were 6-foot-7 junior F Desmond King (16.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg) and 6-2 senior G Brian Singleton (12.3 ppg, 31 assists). … Commerce coach Sam King, in his 11th year at the helm and 19th season at the school, has started nine players this season. Only King and Singleton had started all six games. … The Lions were averaging 87 1/2 points and shooting just under 50 percent for the season.

Last outing: ENMU won at Texas Woman’s 59-44 on Saturday. Commerce lost on Saturday at home to West Texas A&M 79-71.
Of note: The Lions beat ENMU 68-67 last year on a last-second basket in the paint by Ashley Murphy. … Seven of the 15 players on the Commerce roster are freshmen. … Mattilyn McIntyre, a 5-9 senior G, scored 25 points against WT and was averaging a team-best 18.0 ppg coming into Saturday. Also scoring in double figures for the season were 5-7 freshman G Danielle Dixon (11.5) and 6-0 freshman F Bianca Stevenson (10.0). Stevenson was averaging a team-best seven rebounds. … Saturday’s game was the first at home this season for the Lions.
